My name is Caoimhín, and this is my content. Astronomy and the Irish language don’t just matter to me. I don’t just think they are important.
I like them.
I enjoy looking at the stars and planets. I enjoy speaking in Irish. I enjoy talking about the stars in Irish even more!
That joy is what I want to share. Learning about anything is easier when you enjoy it. I don’t just want to teach facts, I want to show how much fun it can be to learn them. The moments of realization, when facts fit together and begin to make sense, can be incredibly rewarding. For the person having them and for the person facilitating them.
I genuinely enjoy sharing my passion, not just showing it, but giving it to others, inspiring the same passion in them. Whether it’s through videos, blog posts, livestreams or in person interaction. I want to tell you about the stuff I find interesting, and I want to make it interesting for you.

Astronomy is a subject in schools. It is a realm of knowledge that people value, and teaching it has value. Of course, there are a lot of topics out there, and I enjoy many of them. There are a couple in particular that I enjoy as hobbies.
The first, perhaps the foremost, is language construction or conlanging. As much as linguistics is a science, conlanging is an art. You can learn more about the hobby and the languages I’ve created by following the Languages link here or the button at the bottom of the page.
The second is worldbuilding. Creating fictional worlds, some fantastical, for the languages I’ve built to exist in. These worlds exist as a way to explore and imagine how things might work under different circumstances. Worldbuilding is also a great excuse to learn about any topic, such as geography and human culture and how they interact.
